Most companies allow you to take loans from your 401k that you pay back to yourself through payroll contributions at a low rate of interest. The only problem is that it takes a month or two to get your money, but you could borrow from someone in the meantime knowing that you will be able to pay them off once the loan comes through. There is no tax penalty unless you leave the company or are laid off and don't pay the loan off in full at that time, so don't take out more than you really need.
