The "heavy hitter" Trump nominee could bunt, pop up, hit a slow grounder, it doesn't matter. The GOP players on the field will throw their gloves to the ground and allow whoever is nominated to circle the bases freely all the way to home plate, the grand prize, absent scrutiny and oversight.
