And early Obama years I can say that is pretty much what I saw.
Most voters are polite,understanding. We had one group for 8 years. The Republican Leader went out of his way to make sure rules were followed.
A small Precinct of my neighbors the only incident I recall is a man coming in loudly proclaiming he was a Democart, wanted to vote in the Primary .Challenged by the leader because he was registered as a Republican.He had to sign and swear he was a Republican.
Voting for the candidate because you thought he was weaker, the switching back was a problem.
We just wanted an honest vote.

This is part of the problem: Voting percentage of registered precinct voters was 34%

Yeah. A lot of misplaced anger. Not one person working the polls was remotely threatening...

Vote or pay a penalty on taxes. Allow a "none of the above " choice but make people vote

I expect similar things next week. I voted absentee today to leave next Tuesday free.
