prescribed Tramadol for me (after a horrible reaction to opiates). It didn't cause the same allergic reactions, but it didn't help much and made me feel a little queasy. I found ice packs to be a much better pain reliever. I certainly didn't have any desire to take it recreationally.

In what way is it not an opioid? unblock Aug 2018 #1
it's synthetic. There's no opium in it at all. n/t Coventina Aug 2018 #3
That means it's not an opiate. Opioids include synthetics and semi-synthetics (nt) Recursion Aug 2018 #5
Fentanyl is also a synthetic opioid. nt tblue37 Aug 2018 #70
That it is synthetic by itself means little, but tramadol is BARELY a narcotic Eliot Rosewater Aug 2018 #77
