8. I Was Told After My First Trial........

..........that after every trial, you'll think of at least 10 things you did wrong over the course of the trial. And that's when you usually start beating yourself up, telling yourself things like, "My client is going to jail because I didn't do a good enough job." It's a gut-wrenching experience. But the rush you get after a win is every bit as good as any I ever got when I was playing football. Then again, sometimes you get stuck with a case that's just a dead-bang loser and there's nothing you can do but try to make a deal. Losing those doesn't hurt as bad as losing one you thought you could win.

I agree with the OP. It's something that people who have never experienced will never fully understand.
