I think he's already working on the performance he will put on. He is probably thinking that faking illness would at least garner him some sympathy, though I doubt it would. I'm still wondering why the false show of "love" and concern Melania showed him when she did that pat on the head and held his hand. Was that part of the onset of the performance? I don't know.
