19. Not having it

My granny was racist.... When my boyfriend from UNi came to her door with me for a visit she refused to let him in cause he was black, racist old bint, but she, as an East Belfast working class religious right woman did not have many tools at her disposal to find a new voice. It was still very hard for me to forgive her. Today these little wankers have a choice. They have the interwebs, the news, history and life at their disposal.

When I was growing up, they tried to teach me to be a religious right narrow funnelled bollocks.... I never was, you know why? - cause it is fucking wrong. We are too quick to forgive when it is the old or kids. Not having it. At all.

Right or wrong is part of your heart, not just your upbringing. They have shrivelled souls IMO - All of them, not just these kids....
