3. Less than .1% of tourists will care about Florida politics

Nice whiff. I can just hear all those travel plans being changed.

Florida is a balanced state, about as close to an exact swing state as there is right now. It is maybe 1% more red than the nation.

This was a disastrous 2018 election cycle. DeSantis over Gillum was the worst result since Trump over Hillary. Ongoing consequences, as the article detailed. But we brought it upon ourselves. I live in Miami and have detailed for years how the Republican canvassers and mailers and phone bankers are ongoing all year long. I see it on my suburban block. I see it at my aunt's house. She is a registered Republican.

It is exactly the opposite of when I lived in Clark County, Nevada. Democrats realized they had been underperforming there and the operation was really kicked into overdrive sophistication by Harry Reid, circa 2006.

Trump right now is at 37% approval. This is when all the college campus registration drives should be emphasized. Right now. Not last fall. The net gain would be highest right now. But since the Democratic Party has no clue toward situational influence we will wait until fall 2020 and try the cram course late phone bank method.
