play hardball on judges from Day 1. He or his advisors should have worked out beforehand a list of judicial nominations and coordinated with Harry Reid to ram them through in his first term. The GOP was going to abolish the judicial filibuster anyway as soon as they got power, so there was no harm in going that route first.
