Al Franken PROBABLY wouldn't want this, but maybe with an outpouring of popuar support....?? [View all]

If our eventual nominee is someone other than Amy Klobuchar and she is picked as VP, and we win.......

(Not an entirely implausible scenario, is it?)

The Democratic Governor of Minnesota then picks the interim Senator until the next election is held. If he should name Al Franken to fill the seat, well then the only question would be if Al would want it. As things stand now, I doubt he would listen, but if he were to receive a thundering deluge of popular (not media, but real people, especially if they're form Minnesota) support, maybe, just maybe, he'd do it. He would have to hold his nose and work again with Democratic Senators who trashed him, and that would not be a few, including Warren, Sanders, Harris, Gillibrand, Booker, Brown, Baldwin and the rest.

But I know a LOT of people who would love to see him back in the Senate, have his voice championing us again, and SO much much more eloquently than those who urged him to leave. I'll bet a LOT of Minnesotans feel the same way.
