(7,142 posts)they won because people wanted Trump to be held accountable. They won because of the enthusiasm that our numerous freshmen candidates brought to our party.
We have been in power for a while now in the House, what are our top 3 accomplishments? What have we done to curb Trump?
Well at least the House controls the purse strings, right, right? I mean appropriation bills are supposed to originate in the House, right? What just happened when Mitch McConnell wrote and passed a 4.6 billion dollar border bill with zero Democratic input and only 8 no votes in the Senate? AOC complains about this and what was the number, around 90 people voted no for the Republican bill in the House. AOC was chastised by Speaker Pelosi for complaining about Democrats passing a Republican budget bill that originated in the Senate.
Excuse me, but last I checked we won overwhelmingly in 2018 in the House, we got a mandate to govern, AOC had every right to complain about what went down with the border funding bill. I blame Schumer for this more than Pelosi but Democrats just gave the private prison complex where General Kelly is on the board of one of the corporations, billions of dollars.
The Mueller hearing is fast approaching, if I were in charge of the House I would have AOC and her 3 friends do all of the questioning, they are 4 of our best Representatives.
