by people that have known and worked with tRump, but he also needs the attention you discuss so he can paint himself as a winner under any circumstance.

Considering the state of our current media (both public and social) under right-wing corporate control and the public's thirst for shiny-object entertainment, there's no way he will ever be ignored.
