It's rather difficult to take comments like that seriously, particularly from someone who is supposed on "our" side.

Like most people, Moore has pros and cons. Being an award-winning filmmaker doesn't preclude someone from occasionally making ridiculous remarks. Some of Moore's comments about the 2016 election and subsequent developments have qualified as ridiculous.
