Do not think for even one fleeting moment that what we're about here is "just politics" as usual. To be sure, there was a time when Democrats and Republicans could be viewed as "loyal opponents"; people who disagreed on various aspects of how the ship of state should be operated, but who were united by their genuine desire to do what was truly best for our nation and its citizens. Both sides had their extremists. Both sides had their whack jobs and nincompoops. Neither party wished the other any misfortune beyond losing the next election. Those days are gone. You killed them.
Just as the surgeon knows that ALL of a cancer must be destroyed if the patient is to have a chance for long term survival, we understand that Trump is just the most visible tumor on the body politic and he metastasized into the nation-threatening aberration that he is---from YOU. You---the blind cultists who are still willing to sacrifice democracy on his altar---were his source; the corruption from which he sprang.
And, so, this will not end for us---and, therefore, not for you---when Trump goes to prison. We will remember, as long as we have breath, your disgusting traitorous complicity; your exuberant racism; your threats and your cruelty.
Speaking just for myself, I will oppose all that you attempt for as long as I have left on this planet. I will not assault you or curse you, but I will never be "nice" to you. I will never have you for a friend and I will not have friends who are friends with you. You have burned those bridges; you have separated yourself from decent society.
I know that others will counsel that I "turn the other cheek" and "forgive and forget".
They are better people than I am. Stay out of my way.
