I remember Skinner commenting upon it back when he cared about this place
Then the election hack killed DU
It used to be a fountain of information and interesting discussions
Now its a backwater of low tide link to tweets and posts shorter than a fortune cookie
Another social media platform would make this place a desert
And the handful of people who camp out here would hate it too

I see no benefit to any "social media". Of course any particular media is no better than the person
