(14,573 posts)38. This just doesn't sound much like a fun Thanksgiving.
I'm a grandparent and would never, ever issue something like this for my kids and grandkids. I know I'm being a stick-in-the-mud, or stiff shirt, or whatever pejorative you might want to use, but I didn't really think this was very funny. But then, I am not sure the person writing it meant it to be funny.
But if I got that............I wouldn't go.
