Local terrain flat, water will spread in floodplain, but much wider area will be affected than normal.
Town just recovered from major flood in 2017.
Several upper-middle class neighborhoods are going to lose huge property value due to repetitive floods.
Concern about water mobilizing toxics from Dow Chemical plant here.
Dams are 100 years old, so really unprecedented situation, many unknowns.
Two local lakes with many waterfront (expensive) homes will be drained.
Many residents will be in shelters- social distancing impossible.
Unclear what happens next.
