Food scarcity is on the rise in America as the economy reels

4. Our daughter goes to three different food banks a week.

She brings the food home and we separate into enough packages for her to bring it to the people in our area who can't get out. It's mostly milk, orange juice, canned vegetables, canned fruits, pork and beans, tuna fish, chips, eggs, and desserts. Almost all named brands. Anyone who wants can go to these places. The only question they ask you is how many people are you collecting for. You don't even get out of your car, just open the trunk and they fill it up.
