That may be the short-list actually.
You have outlined many possibilities and dire threats to our democracy that would have seemed outlandish or overly sensationalist and even paranoid.
However, part of the psychology of the Right is to put on a big, scary show to incite fear and intimidate us. Keep that in mind.
Let's not think of an end, per se, though. That's just giving up. As things become more dire, we may find that we have to take part in what will assure that those trends don't end our experiment in democracy, right? We were told early on that we needed to be vigilant and informed. That still holds true.
We are going to see tremendous potential for change. You can count on that. The brighter side is that the old system is also going to be fragile enough to allow us to struggle hard to transform it, though that may take a lot of suffering and a long time to accomplish that. Maybe we should be THINKING that way and willing to take advantage of this potential for something better someday?
Keep up your spirits and remember that, even though the circumstances are dire and quite different than we are used to, it has always been work and struggle that keeps our protractors, tyrants and even faux patriots at bay.
Preserve if you can. Stay calm. Respond rather than react. Unite.
