Major.
On a side note, I want to point out how valuable I am finding DU to be in this election particularly.
I have had several discussions with friends and acquaintances and even family members about this contest, and for the first time in years, I have actually been able to counter untruths and misleading RW propaganda confidently, and win over people who were on the fence. If it weren't for much of the stuff I find here on DU, I wouldn't have been able to do that.
So thanks for posting this fact, the sort of thing like eyeglasses which 'you can't find but which is right under your nose'.

His supposed release of his "tax returns" is as bizarre as anything else he has done

Exactly. If he has omitted accounts that would have shown earnings of some sort.

Exactly. That's another issue. But at least with the list of accounts, if he releases a false list

Another thing is when they say "This is what he owed" could be before deductions.

It sounds as if the Mormons expect him to pony up 10% of everything, even offshore accounts

The ones he has released are recent enough that they can be amended

Correct, and he did the same exact thing with the 2011 return he supposedly just released.

No really. That's ALL there is (in this set of books - wink wink, nudge nudge. Know what I mean?)
