This was what a white woman told me this morning at my local Sayreville ShopRite in New Jersey.

We were discussing the election and she is undecided, and also apolitical.

She said however, she is disgusted by Black Lives Matter and says she won't care if "segregation came back"

"The races don't get along, so segregation won't hurt", she told me.

"I don't have a friend of another race and I don't care to"

"I don't even remember hanging around another race in school, we were all equals in my eyes"

She doesn't understand why Colin Kaepernick, LeBron James, and the NFL are involved in social justice issues.

She said she is bothered by the fact that Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons are involved in voting rights issues.

She says that "we are still equals, I don't understand how the NFL doesn't think we are equals."

I told her to think carefully about race and to think differently about what she is doing.

Yikes.
