His strategy the entire campaign season has been to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the results, because he knows he's going to lose. Claiming everything from the voting process to the debates and so on have been biased and rigged against him. If nothing else, it makes his base become destructive thinking the election was stolen from Trump.
