In reply to the discussion: Don't prosecute Trump so the nation can heal. [View all]BobTheSubgenius
(11,814 posts)135. I could not possibly agree more!
I want to see him spend is final years in an orange jumpsuit...perhaps in a facility that would have been Arpaio-approved. Misery all day, every day.
I honestly believe that, not only does he deserve that and more, but that it would have a deterrent effect for future miscreants. If they know going in that there are no dire consequences coming their way, there is very little to keep them from going the Drumpf route...or even worse, if they can somehow find away to accomplish that.

If they go after Trump without reminding people who enabled him they're missing dessert.

The Iran-Contra criminals used their card also, and many of them resurfaced during Dim Sons reign.

I hope he does too but question whether he'll risk it in the end. Time will tell.

Agree 100%. I'm still upset that war crimes charges weren't persued against GW Bush.

IMO, there are and were so many in his Admin that should be criminally prosecuted.

If a person violates the law and is not punished, are their actions against the law?

Nope. Then we'd have every criminal racing to become a Republican leader to avoid justice.

It's not about healing. It's about the rule of law, accountability, and DETERRENCE.
