(4,352 posts)First shot — in January — at a convention center. Staff were mostly JFRD (paramedics), and courteous and efficient. In and out in a matter of minutes.
Second shot — a week ago (Moderna, doncha know?) — same site. Most staff were state DOH personnel.
The woman at Table 11 recognized my flag-patterned mask, and immediately guessed the right country!* She had lived in Geneva for several years, and was very familiar with the European nations. We chatted about travel — especially post-pandemic opportunities. After she gave me the vax, I didn’t linger, but it was so refreshing to have a non-clinical conversation these days, especially in a quasi-clinical setting!

* I love wearing this mask in public and seeing how many people guess the right country. Great conversation starter, as opposed to “paper or plastic?”
