Picking up a prostitute is likely a lot of work, including having to find them, having the confidence to approach them and negotiate, having some place to go, knowing the person you're picking up isn't going to rob/kill you, etc.
Hiring one online probably involves similar considerations.
Walking into a brick-and-mortar store and purchasing a service performed right there on premises seems much easier and probably safer.
