Nurses Week now gets celebrated out to all the staff. OK, all well and good, but they dont do that for all the other weeks, though. At least not at the hospitals Ive worked in.
And yeah, I know what you mean about wanting to be closer to retirement after this last year. COVID has been hell, regardless of which floor, ICU or department you work in. And the lip service for all is frontline people has been just that. I certainly never saw an extra dime in hazard pay or the like - like everyone talked about, including Congress, last year.
