It's important to understand that there were EIGHT major candidates for Mayor. If you were a Bernie-style Democrat you could vote for Diane Morales. If anything, Wiley's endorsement could have ADDED to her tally by pulling Morales votes over.
The simple fact is that there wasn't a lot of support for the progressive field (32% in aggregate) and Wiley never had a compelling message for voters. If you were a moderate, you were already voting for Adams, Garcia or Yang. There's no reason to imagine that a group of Wiley votes decide to switch BECAUSE of AOC's endorsement.
