I understand that COVID-19 hampered Republican's efforts, but the judge giving them more time to gather signatures and spread their bullshit really allowed this stupidity gain momentum.

There are a few Democrats running, but no one really high profile unlike when Davis was recalled and Cruz Bustamante, the Lt. Governor at the time ran. He never lived that down. He was able to win a primary for Insurance Commissioner in 2006 but got trounced in the general by the Republican.
