States used to report daily.

KS was one of the first to switch to MWF reporting.

Now NE only reports on Wednesdays. With NO county totals.

And FL late on Fridays (BUT one has to take the cumulative death tolls to see both the fresh and delayed reporting). AND they quit reporting on non-resident cases and deaths.

And many states stopped reporting on the weekends.

I think that's why news coverage shifted to "7-day moving averages" to represent what is going on.
