China Ukraine Strategy [View all]

Maybe this is just another harebrained idea that would fall on deaf ears, but what do you think about the scenario?

Biden gets on the phone with xi jinping, and let him know that there will be peacekeeping forces preparing to help ensure the safety of non-combatants, and he is requesting that China send their forces to support this mission.

And the reason for the request is twofold. First, this will show unity that invadinh another country is against international law, and supporting those who are in need of humanitarian aid is just the right thing to do. This will help show that China is willing to support the sovereignty of peaceful people, and also willing to help those in need, as we all can see what happens when countries get invaded.

Second, it will deliver a clear signal that if China is NOT participating in this peacekeeping effort, it shows they support the right to invade other sovereign peoples, and therefore it is in the best interest of Taiwan that American forces are increased in Taiwan. After all, if China supports Russia invading Ukraine, it just shows they would do the same thing to Taiwan, so we will act preemptively to make sure that doesn't happen.

Of course this second step is not necessary, because China can simply help to protect the people of Ukraine from harm by participating in the peacekeeping force.

Although China and the United States are competitors, being the first and second biggest economies in the world, we can share the world unity, and help to build a more peaceful world. This is a great opportunity to work together to do that.
