Take Venezuela for example. I believe they have 32 Justices? Something like that. Imagine that nightmare scenario. It would take forever to gain a majority.

If one party can justify adding a couple justices here and there, then what stops the other party from doing the same thing when they come back into power? And they will. Eventually. Sure, you get some satisfaction with a temporary solution, but it will come back to bite. Eventually.
