Just making sure an earlier commenter really understood that there is no comparison between the slavery endured by black people and that of poor whites and so forth.
Must not have been as clear as I intended.
Not that I don't know some Rs not at all like that. But they are not the ones in power. Just some of those who thought the publicized policies (especially economic) were to their liking. Those in power or who want to be in power generally do fit the desire to go back to at least the 1950s.
