(46,705 posts)20. I had that strange metallic taste, but also intense mouth pain
about 6 weeks after a Covid vaccination. If you look for mouth pain as a side effect of the Covid vaccinations it listed a number of symptoms. I had all of them.
One of the things that really was getting worse was no tolerance to peppery or hot foods. None. I went to the dentist and he said he believed I had red thrush. He prescribed Clotrimazole lozenges. After two or three weeks, everything is almost back to normal.
Not sure if the lozenges will work for you, but ask your doctor.

I tried holding my nose and sipping on water.. didn't work.. but that wasn't out of left

Toking cannabis by chance? Humulene is the terpeme I figured out was giving me stomach issues.
