I’ve seen guys who wear big hats to compensate for no hair up there. I guess they figure if all you see is the hat, all you’re gonna fixate on is the hat. Not the reason why the hat.

My guess is either ego (I wanna stand out!).
Or it’s to cover a bare roof (I don’t want anybody to see how bald I am).
