than absolutely necessary to prepare a response. DOJ filed its almost 40-page brief just minutes before the midnight deadline last night, giving TFG's late-night tv ad lawyers only 20 hours to write and submit their reply. I'll bet you kroner to krugerrands that DOJ finished its work long before the deadline, but filed it right under the wire just to make the lives of TFG's sorry, unpaid shysters just that much more difficult. Even so, their reply will be monumentally stupid just because there's no way for it not to monumentally stupid, no matter how much time they had.
