Given the nature of America's political institutions, it is highly likely that we will remain a nation with two major political parties (as opposed to countries with multi-party parliamentary systems).

I think it is our interest to have an opposition party that isn't fascist/totalitarian/authoritarian as the alternative.

We should not have to fear for the future of the republic every time we lose an election.
