(25 posts)I can't even quite find the words I want to say here. I am beyond heartbroken
Although this is a relatively new account (I lost my details for my old account here), Will has been part of my online world here, social media and elsewhere for almost twenty years and in my personal interactions with him, I always found him kind, encouraging, friendly solicitous and encouraging of me. He could evoke strong passions in people, and we sometimes disagreed on issues, although more often than not, I found myself on a similar or the exact same page. I was always blown away by his insights, his passion, his great writing and his commitment to the progressive cause, His writing both challenged and opened up new avenues in my train of thought
His deep love for his family -his mother, his wife and his daughter always came through passionately, eloquently and beautifully on every place I encountered him online. I especially remember his posts on FB about his daughter and his overwhelming love for her. My heart and my deepest, sincerest and most heartfelt thoughts, condolences and sympathies go out to his family and all who knew and loved him
Rest in peace, Will. You did well and your legacy is great. The world was infinitely better for having had you and is infinitely sadder and the worse for having lost you
