In reply to the discussion: Rejected': Trump bond filing 'returned for correction' over botched lawyering [View all]EndlessWire
(6,586 posts)So, maybe I'm not getting it. They file the bond set up electronically. Somehow, it gets checked for completeness, and it gets rejected. They are given a link to refile. Is that it? Did a human being, like a court clerk, do this review?
How much time do they get to refile this? Where does it say? After getting such an unwarranted break from the Appellate Court, neither Trump's lawyers OR the surety company filed it correctly??
If I were the DA (we're probably all lucky I'm not,) I'd be up there with a motion for permission to execute on the judgment, or whatever you'd call that. Do they get 10 days, 30 days, 6 months? This is outrageous. This was done on purpose. This is a ploy. There's nobody in the business who would make those mistakes. And, I know that Trump has generally incompetent counsel, but that isn't it this time.
Well, we'll see. Does anyone know how long the system gives them to refile?
