I am fairly concerned about the polling data coming out these days. In as much as I would love to just write it off as being "too early" or "erroneous" polling, 2016 was not as much of a surprise as many thought if you tracked that polling data. There were definite warning signs. By the same token, 2020 was not all that surprising either. Our only real concern was whether or not the courts would cave to Trump's "stolen election" nonsense. Maybe I'm missing something, but I have a hard time believing this many polls could be this off. The administration and the Democrats have to up their game...big time.

Ever since the Dobbs decision, Democrats have been outperforming the polls

Let me put it this way. The incumbent party almost loses seats in a midterm. Kind of common knowledge.

Maybe the people celebrating did not remember the House is controlled by whoever has a one vote margin.

And the posters forgets...the majority in the House was very close...it was days before we knew the outcome.

Yes, very much so. I remember everyone agreeing the outcome was far more positive than expected.

Likewise, but I'm more concerned about how the Republicans will respond to Biden's re-election

They didn't help him last time...this would end their power as well if a dictator is installed so I doubt it happens.

The infamous "but" about to negate the preceding phrase. It really, really is too early.
