(25,040 posts)Even when I agree with the positions that she draws attention to, I find her approach too sensationalized. It's as if she likes rebellion for its own sake, regardless of the cause.
I like journalists who are willing to speak bluntly, call out liars, bring attention to social justice causes, etc. That's what I like about Lawrence O'Donnell. It's what I liked about Walter Cronkite during Vietnam when he gave two lists of casualties in his nightly reports that conflicted with each other, the official numbers and the numbers from people on the scene.
But Goodman is a sensationalist who gets high on drama and will take extreme positions just for the sake of being extreme.
I am not a centrist Dem. I am to the left of centrist but not as far left as the DSA or as Amy's spin on events.
