(17,858 posts)Really, I do. It's relatively easy for me, because Biden wasn't my first choice in the beginning. I didn't really have a first choice in the 2020 primaries. A few favorites, yes, but not one particular person that I felt was THE ONE. I didn't actully get on board for Biden 100% until after the SC primary. I was ready to give my support to the Democrat who showed the most promise of being able to boot Trump's butt out of the White House, and SC convinced me that Biden was that Democrat.
I voted for him in my state's primary and have supported him whole-heartedly ever since and would have continued to do so. Seeing him be pushed to step aside has been very painful. But I know that it's not the kind of personal heartbreak for me that it is for some people, and you have reminded me that I need to not lose sight of that.
I wish all the best for Joe, Kamala, and all of us in the coming months, as well as healing for the wounds of those like yourself who have been his strongest supporters from the beginning.
