So, Im the son of an OG politician. As a rule I dont talk politics or religion. Theres no point, I learned that long ago.
But this isnt politics anymore. This is math. A game of chess. Its a fucking pathetic game where governing is no longer important - the only prize is winning.
Winning what? Applause from a bunch of [whatever]? Whats the trophy? Its about leading a nation and we dumbed ourselves down enough to give that job to a guy who literally ran pageants with little girls.
The job should be like my last job - as a teacher - derived not from power but from passion. A desire not to be pretty or remembered but to provide. Nobody remembers me, but I remember every single student who went on to become revolutionary scientists, doctors fighting for womens rights in Central America and Africa and fellow professors across the world. I remember every single one but I bet you I was just that one cool professor who could teach math.
But with a passion.
Thats how RBG would have wanted it. And thats how we should be governed collectively.
