Tavernier was hit by a tornado last night. [View all]

My house is untouched but there is a giant gumbo limbo tree on the roof of my neighbor’s house and another on the roof of a new car a few houses down. For three blocks it looks like a war zone. Power was out most of the night and it got pretty warm.

Tornadoes were unheard of in the Keys years back. Sure am glad there is no such thing as global warming or this could have been bad.
