Reagan used to do the same thing--tell a lie, get called on it, but when he hit rewind, he simply repeated it again. And at least Reagan would make the effort to pretend he had listened, rather than screeching like a two year old that he won't 'cuz he don't wanna like the Tangerine Twitler does.
