with one white leg. She looks exactly like her litter mate, except he's tabby on both front legs. I also have a maine coon, a Norwegian, another (neurotic) fat tabby, a tabby with a teenage boy "strut", and a calico. I have 9 cats in total that are left. Most of mine age to 20, unless they have medical issues that shorten their lives. They're usually fat, spoiled, and rule the roost around here... even over my 100 pound hound dog. I love them all, and I've rescued them all. In fact, Tigger (the struter), Bootsie, and Bandit, hubby and I swooped up from the street as we moved the last of our possessions from one house to the "new" house. They had no street smarts, and we were scared to death they'd be run over. The Maine Coone came from the same family as Bootsie... just a generation older; the rest came with us from Kansas City KS when we moved here. Can you tell they're our family? (LOL)

Lexy, our dog, was rescued from a kill shelter in KcK. She'd been adopted every month for three months straight and brought back each time as an adoption fail. We didn't know this until after we adopted her. We found out why, she's high energy... not a good match for two old people, to be sure. But she's family, too... and we're working hard with her. It's a tough job after having such a smart Border Collie and a Leonburgher who taught himself how to be a "helpmate" to me. Lexy will never be that, but she's loving and lovable for her own, independent self. Besides, the cats kinda keep her behavior in check! (LOL)

I'd post pics, except this is the ONE place I've never been able to do that successfully. I have no idea why. I've done DailyKos, my own website, my FB page, etc., but I can't get that to show up here... only the URL... no matter how hard I try. I finally gave up. BUt trust me, my babies are beauties to me. And despite either being thrown out of homes, or never having one, they all have a forever home here... even if I die tomorrow, the grandson has promised he'll take care of them like they're his own. That's the ONLY thing I've worried about when it comes to my increased age. How will my babies survive. So, he's got the house where the cats live, and the cats go on living their glorious life of domination. I couldn't ask for more.
