If "Bless Your Heart" was a facial expression [View all]

Found online:

Having sat on the debate for a bit, one thing that still stick with me is HOW WELL Kamala Harris utilized the split screen. Not just in comparison to Trump, but in general. She knew her mic would be muted whenever he was talking but also that she would be on camera the entire time.

Kamala is a good public speaker. She's not some out of the park amazing speaker like either of the Obamas, but she's up there with the very good ones for this generation of Democrats. But here she used silence SO DAMN WELL. Her expressions were perfect because you know the right wing was looking for anything to call her too much in any one direction (elitist, dismissive, snarky, and heaven forbid, sassy).

Instead, the vast majority of the time when Trump was ranting lies with reality WAY out too lunch her face mostly read "are you ok?" and "i hear you but that is so wrong that I pity you." Both are pitch perfect and follow the script Dems have been on since she took up the mantle: Wow, those conservatives are fucking weirdos, in a bad way

That is what hurts the fascist. To be seen as odd, as weird, as laughable even. Someone can be a threat and still be Bonkers D. Bobcat out to lunch on how baffling their perception of reality is. It is "bless your heart" as a facial expression instead of a phrase and I did not know one could do that until this debate.

Here's a collection of her reactions from the NYT. This is not someone rattled, or scared, or in danger. This is someone who knows she is running against an UTTERLY UNFIT CRIMINAL JACKASS and is going to let the rest of us know without a word. That final face tho. That's the one that kills me because it distills her message of Joy and Overcoming The Trump Era that she is running on. Yep, you can go be a batshit wacko fascist. And the rest of us will still win and we will laugh at you while we do it.
