Can a State pick and choose what election to certify [View all]

Let’s use Georgia as an example. If the state election board suspects something "nefarious" and refuses to certify the election, wouldn't that impact all races on the ballot, not just the presidential one? They can't claim one race was legitimate while doubting another on the same ballot. I mention this because Trump and MAGA supporters want to have the election decided by the House. But if the election results aren't certified in states like Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Michigan, then the representatives from those states shouldn't be seated in the House either. Many of those representatives are Republicans. In fact, Georgia’s delegation, for example, would likely have a Republican majority for voting. Remember, if the election is thrown to the House, each state gets one vote, not each representative. So, a state with more Republican representatives would vote for Trump. Excluding those five states due to unseated representatives could actually benefit the Democrats. Republicans should be cautious about what they’re pushing for.
