I can imagine how tough it is..

My sister and her NC family had to leave Asheville early on after Helene because she had just had surgery Before it hit and was running out of Pain meds. So she, her daughter and granddaughter got on the one road and made it to SC.. and then to Connecticut to their Summer home. They were lucky.

Her daughter is a teacher and granddaughter in school.. they won't be coming back until the schools are open.
