Charlie Cook from the Cook political just showed his bias in explaining why the election is so close [View all]

"A question that Democrats ought to be asking themselves is, “Why should it be this hard to beat Donald Trump this year, with all of his baggage?” Although always an unorthodox campaigner, Trump’s eccentricities are even closer to the surface this year. Who would have thought that a major-party nominee for a president would go to the hometown of a celebrated athlete, in this case to Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where Arnold Palmer was born, and comment on the size of the golfing great’s male anatomy, and that this would be the candidate embraced by white, evangelical Christians? (On my first visit to Latrobe, I found it far more interesting that the banana split was invented there.)

One thing we are witnessing today is the demise of our two major political parties as moderating influences. Given their ideological and geographic diversity, each once served to keep their candidates from veering off to the extremes. Those days are over.

Today, Harris is paying the price for positions taken and statements made when she and most of the other Democrats vying for the party’s nomination in 2019 were veering off into exotic territory on the Left."

Sorry Charlie Cook, but you have exposed yourself not as an objective observer but an influencer for the republicans.

"exotic territory on the Left".

excuse my french, but f**k you Charlie Cook. How about the fascist territory to the right? Does that even bother you Cook, or when the republican candidate says "hitler did some good things", and our "soliders and suckers and loosers"
Not once have I seen in your lazy analysis, criticism of the republican party to the exotic territory toward fascism.

Thank-you for exposing your true feelings. I will not be re-subscribing to your rag.

Your red wave call in 2022 didn't materialize, and even though you are saying this race is "too close to call", I hope that Harris-Walz leave you and the rest of these suppossed election soothsayers in the dust as charlatans where the samplings for the determination of these poll's results will be off, and Harris Walz will win the election with massive numbers leaving the pollsters making excuses for their errrors.

and here is what is going to prove them wrong:

1. Women both Democratic, republican, and independents are not going to let republicans control their body, and they will come out in huge numbers and vote for Harris-Walz.

2. Young people will come out in huge numbers to vote for Harris-Walz.

3. Labor will come out in large numbers to vote for Harris-Walz.

4. African Americans and minorities, including African American MEN will vote for Harris-Walz in overwhelming numbers not the bullshit being pushed that 10% African Americans will vote for trump. How stupid do they think the American public is?

5. Registered Democrats and independent progressives.will come out in record numbers for Harris-Walz.

6. and the demographic that no one will consider, veterans and seniors, will vote in higher numbers for Harris-Walz, than they have previously voted for Democrats, because they realize that someone who denigrates people who serve in the armed forces, and someone who is a threat to social security is a threat to them.

That is why we will win.
