But people who genuinely care about righting a wrong don't do it by texting meaningless BS to their cousin. They actively go out and try affect change in a meaningful way.

What we've witnessed with some activists of late is essentially careless "look at how much I care more than everyone else" narcissism. It's careless acts of "resistance" which anger society agains the cause. They're going into communities, wreaking havoc, and leaving people worse off than they were.
